The international module tactical exercise MODEX 2016 took place on 26-31 October 2016 in Ogre and surroundings in Latvia.
The exercise was organised by Romanian General Inspectorate for emergencies, by Latvian Civil Protection Authority in coordination with European Commission. MI-DG FRS CR (Ministry of Interior – General Directorate of Fire Rescue Service of Czech Republic decided to deploy FRB Flood Rescue with using Boats) Module, which is situated in FRS of Moravian - Silesian Region.
The city Ogre and surroundings in Latvia was affected by destructive floods. Latvia requested for rescue and water pumping Modules - as official request for assistance and Czech Republic dispatched FRB (Flood Rescue with using Boats).The task of the Module was involving in to rescue operation and cooperation with local crisis staff, local and external rescue units on the scene.
FRB Module consisted of 35 firefighters frm FRS Moravian - Silesian Region and one doctor from The Universtity Hospital Brno.
