USAR Team

Vyhledávací a záchranný odřad do obydlených oblastí je jedním z odřadů MV-generálního ředitelství HZS ČR. Odřad je předurčen pro vyhledávací a záchranné práce v obydlených oblastech – zejména po zemětřeseních. Může také působit na území ČR při zřícení budov.

Is a self-contained team with logistics for at least 7 days of operation in the full number of 36 members (MUSAR – medium USAR) or team with logistics for at least 10 days of operation in the full number of 68 members (HUSAR – heavy USAR). The team is transported to the place by air or by ground (up to 1,000 km).

STRUCTURE

Heavy USAR The team is composed of 68 persons - team leader, 1 deputy team leader, 1 planning/assessment officer, 1 Safety/Security officer, 4 liaison officers, 1 Structural engineer, 1 IT specialist, 4 logistics officers, 2 medical doctors, 2 squad leaders, 4 groups of firefighters-rescuers (1+9) and 10 dog handlers. This structure allows two groups of firefighters-rescuers to work continuously at least for 10 days on two places.

HUSAR Structure 

Medium USAR The MUSAR team is composed of 36 persons - team leader, deputy team leader, two laisons officers, 6 dog handlers, one doctor, two logistics officers, one IT technic, squad leader, two groups of firefighters-rescuers (1+9) and statics. This structure allows two groups of firefighters-rescuers to work continuously at least for 7 days.

Czech USAR team is represented as "CZERT" abroad, meaning "Czech Emergency Rescue Team"

Based on character of rescue operation, these are provided by the Prague and Moravian-Silesian FRS.
